Sugar bowl and Creative cottage

I am in luck this week ends "need to make" fills the brief of 2 challenges

I followed the beautuful sketch Marlene did for Sugar Bowl 37 and as I also needed a gift box I matched them so I could enter Creative Cottage 15 "it takes 2"

Materials

I quilled the flowers and leaves and used ribbon and bling from stash

teddybears picnic

Now Rainmac has recieved her swap from me I can blog it, the theme was animals and I wanted to use my new "little bear" stamp whilst I was colouring it, I heard on the radio the old song Teddybears picnic and that was where the idea came from.

I stamped and heat embossed a green vellum with leaves as a front cover sheet then stamped the front of the card with sugar nellies "autumn" and cut holes with my bug to peep through to see the picnic!!! I hope you like it Rainmac does and I had such fun making it.

new stamps

I have had some fun today with the other two new stamps " entangled" and "searching"and I loved it. Entangled is very much "grown up colouring in" and I had to stop and start as the rain showers altered the light in my craft room quite a lot. Searching is a lovely dreamy image and I think I will use it a lot, unfortunatly the light had gone down by the time I snapped her and the flash washed her out a bit I think I may have to do another pic tomorrow.

MSE challenge "Flowers"

over on MSE the lovely Choccy set the challenge handmade flowers eeekkk, however I remembered that The Wife (I think!!) had posted about punching scalloped circles, screwing them up and then opening them out and forming flowers with them. Nothing ventured nothing gained, so I had a go and I am quite pleased with the result. I made a step card using my almost new Hougie board and then of course it needed a box so here is the result.

I got new sugar nellies stamps

Sugar nellie has 6 new stamps out and I have 4 of them, yipee!!!!!! I had to play straight away and chose " little bear" and " Worried" to play with first . Little Bear is more of a shading exersize rather than coloured as a polar bear is sooo white ! but I think once I get my head round "how to mount" I can see me using it, maybe christmas?

I think the child in Worried ( I don't like that title) is so cute I can see it being a firm favourite with me.

Tomorrow I am going to play with "Entangled " and "Searching" I will let you know what happens

Sugar Nellie Blogspot challenge 36

This challenge from Sugar nellie (see my side bar) really hit the spot. The sketch was simple to follow and the colour challenge of Pink,Black and White made me think straight away about the new stack from DCWV blossoms and butterflies, the glittering on the pink plaid added a zing to the black and white. The lovely "Reflection" stamp from Sugar Nellie is fast becoming one of my favourites and I used Pro Markers to colour her in
