OK own up how many of us have been "artists" for years without knowing it, after watching Barbara Gray (Clarity Stamps) on C&C on Sunday I now know that what I have passed many quiet moments doing is "Zentangle" an art form not a doodle! Thus armed with the confidence that its "alright" I decided to use one as a card topper. What do you think?
I know that I find it very theraputic and can loose myself quite easily into the little marks.
Try "google" if you want to see some stunning examples.
I used my bug and nesties to cut out the shapes, and the charm came as a pressie in a swap the rest is all "out of my head" :)
I should like to enter this into the following challenge

Wow! I never knew it was called Zentangle. I do it when I'm on the phone at work but I'm nowhere as good as this, it's brilliant and you have captured a winderful oriental feel to the card. Perfect in just black and white.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - so effective as a card.
ReplyDeleteAre you aware of Angie's blog? She's another zentangler: here and here. I find you both so inspiring!
Absolutely love it bit Mackintoshy - no idea it had a proper name - reminds of those design books you can buy to colour in xx
