Zentangle

OK own up how many of us have been "artists" for years without knowing it, after watching Barbara Gray (Clarity Stamps) on C&C on Sunday I now know that what I have passed many quiet moments doing is "Zentangle" an art form not a doodle! Thus armed with the confidence that its "alright" I decided to use one as a card topper. What do you think?
I know that I find it very theraputic and can loose myself quite easily into the little marks.
Try "google" if you want to see some stunning examples.
I used my bug and nesties to cut out the shapes, and the charm came as a pressie in a swap the rest is all "out of my head" :)
I should like to enter this into the following challenge

ABC challenge "C is for charms" see challenge side bar
The Saturday challenge" clean and simple" see challenge side bar
The Alphabet challenge " S is for scallopes" see challenge side bar

  1. Wow! I never knew it was called Zentangle. I do it when I'm on the phone at work but I'm nowhere as good as this, it's brilliant and you have captured a winderful oriental feel to the card. Perfect in just black and white.

  2. This is gorgeous - so effective as a card.

Are you aware of Angie's blog? She's another zentangler: here and here. I find you both so inspiring!

  11. This is fantastic - I love it. I'm glad it has an official name - this is what I do when I'm the phone and instead of chucking them in the bin I will now try to use them. Thanks for the inspiration. x
