Hello over on MSE the challenge set by last fortnights winner Wannabyrich is to try something new so I decided to move out of my comfort zone and use "romantic" techniques with lace, ribbons, distress inks and go completly overboard. Now have I gone too far? answers in the comments box please:)
The image is stamped onto photo paper then distressed with scissors and inked with TH spun sugar, faded lipstick and crushed olive I used the same inks on the flowers, rubbing them on the pad and then spreading the ink with a water brush to get the faded "pressed flower" look. I mounted the image onto a piece of old net curtain from my scrap bag wrapped round burgandy card then onto gold mirri. Ribbons, lace borders flowers and a "bugged" panel were all added
I should like to enter this card in the current MSE challenge
The Magical Crafts challenge 18 (see side panel)

Thanks for entering my challenge. This is a beautiful card. I love what you've done with the image and the flowers. I don't think you've gone overboard with the lace and ribbons at all. Well done on trying something new.
