next 4 craft for life cards

I am getting into the swing of the A6 size now, I think? The papers were an impulse buy a couple of years ago and I only used one ot two then put them in the back of the box!!! as you do
The matching ribbon set them off a bit, anyway the woman in the cancer research shop thought they would sell o.k so thats 14 down and I have still got 14 bags to fill.
Thanks for looking

Wow look what I got

This is the stunning card I received from Thriftyscotslass in the March card swap its georgous
the scan flatens the image slightly and does not do justice to the lovely textured white card with the metalic swirls. Oh I just love it Thankyou TSL x

Easter card

Lyndach over on MSE set the card challenge this time, its a sketch and must show an easter egg somewhere, so here is my entry.

I used Joanna Sheens Messy Rabbit and backing paper from her "In other Words" CD and the interactive sentiment mats are really helpful if you what to match your colours but use your own words.

I coloured "Messy" with promarkers Blossom,Lavender,Slate,Spice,Cocoa,Canary, Buttercup,Lime,Forest and Saffron. Yes, I know I went overboard but whats the use of having all those colours if you dont use them!!!!

4 acetate wrapped cards

Searching in my stash I found these acetate wraps they came from a QVC TSV from years ago. I bet you all have some of that one left, it was so full of "stuff" all flowers, butterflies and hearts on vellum, acetate and lots of candy coloured papers.

I covered card blanks with some very pretty papers, used my cropadile to put holes through card and acetate then used ribbons to keep them together. A couple of peeloffs and a bit of bling and thats 4 more for the craft for life.

next 2 cards

I am getting into the swing now and decided to follow the sketch from this weeks passion for promarkers challenge. Somehow A6 is better when turned sideways!!!
The pink card is made with papers from the Papermania Rose Garden 6x6 papers and the image came from a mse buddie in a stash swap. I used Blossom Rose Pink Mustard and Sandstone Promarkers and am really pleased with my "rain" its Reeves " Diamond" glitter glue which I applied with a cocktail stick.
The New Home card is made with Basic Grey papers I have had for so long I have forgotten the name of it. The image is from the same buddie and coloured with Pastel Blue,Olive and Forest Green with Sandstone and Spice for the hair and boots. I applied Crystal clear lacquer to the paint brush and spills.
Now do I enter the challenge or not? I have not yet worked out how to do it without Mr Linky.

craft for life

Its that time again, docrafts charity bags are in-store. This year its cancer research so clear the decks for action, I hope to beat my 21 cards last year. I find the A6 size a bit of a bind but thats what they want so thats what they get!!.

The first 2 I used my new "reflective" sugar nellie stamp I just love the set of her shoulders and the angle of her head, she is "thinking" deep thoughts. I coloured with promarkers and embelished with bits from my own stash.

mango and bright green

Thats the colours for this weeks passion for promarkers challenge, no of course I didn't have them, what a good excuse for the 5 min walk to my local craft shop or my other home, according to my hubby. Did I come out with 2 new promarkers? no don't be daft!! I fell in love with a sugar nellie stamp "reflective" and a pack of papermania jems too. so here is my entry.
I used some handmade paper from my stash
I coloured white paper with bright green promarker then cut scallops on strip, coloured silk ribbon with mango and white paper flowers both bright green and mango pens and tinted a saying embelly with mango. My beautiful new stamp was coloured using mango and bright green, hair a combo of buttercup and sandstone.
Now as this is my first entry I have to work out how to send this to passion for promarkers site.

weddding card

this is the wedding card I have made. The card is heat embossed with a beautiful "Wildflower background" stamp from the new docrafts V & A range it sort of fell in my basket when I bought the matching papers!!! which gives a lovely textured feel to the card. I matted a Rose Garden paper from papermania onto plain white paper inked with the same pink ink pad I used on the card blank. The Creativity mag came with 3 free flower border stamps one of which I used for the embossed trimming, I added adhesive stones for a bling lift and champagne glasses peel off from papermania. hope you like it x

New Computer and all that .......

Since my last blog post I have had the dreaded "death rattle" sound from my system. Every time I asked it "nicely" to do something, it coughed and groaned and reminded me that last time it was serviced a hard drive problem was developing, so I bit the bullett and ordered a brand new system. It came all shiney black and silver with more ports than I know what to do with. I salvaged as much from my old system on to a tiny keyring zip file thingy and unplugged all eeeekkkk.
Well 2 weeks on and I am now back on line, completed after 3 expensive techie calls, a new ISP set up disk and quite a few "bad words" World without internet is very different to say the least, or maybe not interesting would be better. I have grandchildren in Germany, South of England and New Zealand and was reminded that the world really is a big place without msn facebook etc.

I did spend time crafting and will post some scans asap
